Somen noodle with Shrimp and imitation crab

Somen is very thin noodle which is popular in Japan. The most common way to eat this noodle is cold. It is very popular food in summer. But the other day, I found this recipe which saute somen noodle in frying pan. It was an eye opener for me. I never thought about using somen noodle this way. I wanted to try it so last night I did.

It has some shrimps, imitation crab, egg and scallions. For the taste, it just need soy sauce and sesame oil. It was not too greasy and it was really good! I liked it.

Another good thing about somen noodle is that it takes only one and half minuets to cook the noodle in a boiling water. It is so quick!

I love finding a new way to use same ingredients. I am not sure if it is possible to find somen noodle in a regular supermarket but if you have a chance to go to Japanese specialty store, please try somen noodle. It is so thin and I think it is beautiful.

Thank you for visiting 7th kitchen!
